HOW TO SPEAK AT THE MEETING

• Each person may fill out a speaker slip located on the designated table.
• Indicate the item you wish to speak  on and other requested information. 
• Then submit it to the Chairperson by placing it in the box located on  the same table. 
• Speakers will have up to three (3) minutes per item. The amount of time may be reduced at the  discretion of the Chair, depending on the number of speakers on an item.  

HOW TO CEDE MINUTES

• In addition, time may be ceded to another by other members of the public who are present at the meeting  and have submitted a speaker slip ceding their time. 
• These speaker slips should be submitted together to the  Legislative Staff. 
• The Planning Commission Chair may also limit organized group presentations of five or more  persons to 15 minutes.  

SPEAKING VIRTUALLY

• When the Chairperson introduces the item (or indicates it is time for Non-Agenda Public Comment), raise  your hand by tapping the “Raise Your Hand” button on your computer, tablet, or Smartphone.
• You will be taken in the order in which you raised your hand. 
• You may only speak  once on a particular item.  
• When the Chairperson indicates it is your turn to speak, unmute your device by tapping the Unmute button  on your computer, tablet, or Smartphone.  
• Please note: Members of the public who wish to provide virtual testimony must enter the virtual queue by  raising their hand before the queue closes. 
• The queue will close when the last virtual speaker finishes  speaking or five minutes after in-person testimony ends, whichever happens first.
• Those participating virtually may NOT cede time to others participating in person, virtually, or with visual aids.
