UPDATES

Mark your calendars for AUGUST 29TH, 9 AM.  A hearing will be held by the City of San Diego Planning Commission.  

On August 29th you may speak yourself (1 minute) or cede minutes to others so they can speak longer.  Online attendance and speakers online are also possible.  We will have exactly the amount of minutes that we have people there.  The attendance at the May 7th Ocean Beach Planning Board was amazing!  And comments from speakers were so powerful!  

We would like to invite all of OB and Point Loma, people who love OB's small beach town feel and history, and speakers who were so passionate on May 7th to attend the hearing of an appeal going before the City of San Diego Planning Commission.  Link for the Planning Commission, re where and how to attend etc.: https://www.sandiego.gov/planning-commission.

The OBPB voted nearly unanimously in opposition to the issue on May 7th: voting NO against a Complete Community project in OB.   Only one board member voted in favor.  Feeling shy and don't want to speak?  That's OK!  We want to fill the room!  You can also attend online or make a phone call in.   Details at link above to information re the Planning Commission.

Your comments submitted via these online forms will be reviewed by the Planning Commission.  Every action will help:  whether you speak online, submit a form, attend and speak, or attend and cede minutes.   Multiple speakers are already currently planning to speak.

As a result of an appeal filed with the City of San Diego, a hearing will be held by the City of San Diego Planning Commission.  The date of the hearing is not yet known.  There may be ONLY 3 days notice prior to the date of  hearing.   If you would like to speak at the hearing, please begin to prepare your comments, presentations, and PowerPoints as soon as you can.

The OB Planning Board voted NO on this project at their full board meeting on May 7, 2024.  Public comment was heated and there was standing room only and the crowd spilled out into the hallway outside.
